If you recall from a previous post, I purchased two of these gorgeous lanterns to flank either side of our garage. I loved them so much that I wanted to get more for other exterior areas, until I realized that the flat back of the lantern wouldn’t seal properly against the siding of this part of our house, meaning we’d need a different design with a smaller backplate.

After searching high and low, I stumbled on these Visual Comfort Falmouth Small Outdoor Wall Lanterns. The style complements our garage lanterns without being too matchy-matchy (and even if it didn’t, they are not in the same sightline anyway). We used these dusk to dawn candelabra LED bulbs and they give off a great amount of light. All in all, this small but impactful DIY project (our first time doing exterior light fixtures) took us under 2 hours to complete.
