4 New-to-me Beauty Products I’m Loving

With such limited wardrobe options during pregnancy (and now postpartum) I developed a renewed interest in beauty. Glowing skin and a fresh face of makeup help me feel put together when I am uninspired by my outfits. Here are a few of the new-to-me products that have been heavy in my rotation lately. (For more on my tried-and-true makeup and skincare products, see this post.)

Soshe Waterproof Precision Eyeliner ($23) // Although I’d love to experiment with using an eye palette to line my lids with powder (does anyone have a good tutorial??), the ease of a pencil eyeliner is just unmatched. I love the ultra-thin line of this eyeliner and much prefer it to the thicker pencils and gel eyeliners that I’ve tried before. I swipe it along my upper lash line as part of my everyday makeup look, and for a little something extra I sometimes swipe it along the outer half of my bottom waterline. I go through this quickly but you can get refills for it.

Ilia Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm in Lullaby ($28) // I already owned a different color of the Ilia Lip Balm and loved the formulation, but wanted to try some other colors. The Lullaby shade is what I’ve been reaching for the most. It’s a cool rose pink that almost has berry or red undertones. I think it looks especially great when wearing cool tones like denim, blue, or black.

Supergoop! Mineral Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 ($40) // When I went to the dermatologist this spring, she suggested that I switch to a mineral face sunscreen with a higher SPF because of my pregnancy melasma. I have heard rave reviews about Supergoop over the years, and after finally trying it for myself, I totally get the hype! I chose this product because it is mineral and because it is not tinted, making it easier to share with my husband. The texture is incredible! It goes on like a cream but instantly transforms into a powder-like texture that is a dream to wear under makeup.

Hanni Splash Salve ($34) // I have incredibly dry skin but I don’t always have the patience to lather myself in body lotion from head to toe when I step out of the shower. Sometimes I am lazy and just want to get in my warm pajamas and move on with my evening. This product is such a gamechanger! You apply it in the shower and then give your skin a quick rinse right before you get out, and your skin actually stays moisturized – no lotion needed!! It’s so much more appealing to moisturize while cozy and warm in the shower rather than while cold and shivering in the bathroom. I am getting through my jar pretty quickly but I absolutely love it.
