Our guest room also pulls double duty as a home office, so it was a puzzle to figure out how to incorporate both a bed and a desk without feeling like a teenager doing zoom school from my bedroom. The solution came in the form of the Jamie Slipcovered Daybed from PB Teen, which looks more like a cozy reading nook than a standard bed, but comes in a queen size which is ideal for hosting. I was torn on how many throw pillows to style the bed with because the queen size is comically deep for a daybed, but after playing around with it I’m happy with where things ended up.
Here’s my formula:
- Back Layer: 4 standard sized pillows dressed in simple white shams
- Middle Layer: 3 (26’’) decorative white Euro shams
- Front Layer: 1 statement (36 x 14) bolster pillow
