The chaise side of our new sectional is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book. But given that this nook is several feet away from the windows and the floor lamp, lighting has been a challenge. Enter this $25 wall sconce.

I really do try and resist the pull of Amazon, and honestly, I think I do better than most. But when furnishing a home on a tight budget, it’s nice to have at least some options that won’t break the bank.

Per some reviewer complaints, the switch is a bit further down than I would have preferred. But that was an easy fix. I simply plugged the sconce into an extension cord and then secured the excess cord with a twist tie, so that the switch sits conveniently at sofa level.
