How to Style a (Queen Sized) Daybed

Our guest room also pulls double duty as a home office, so it was a puzzle to figure out how to incorporate both a bed and a desk without  feeling like a teenager doing zoom school from my bedroom. The solution came in the form of the Jamie Slipcovered Daybed from PB Teen, which looks more like a cozy reading nook than a standard bed, but comes in a queen size which is ideal for hosting. I was torn on how many throw pillows to style the bed with because the queen size is comically deep for a daybed, but after playing around with it I’m happy with where things ended up.

Here’s my formula:

Sources // Paint: Benjamin Moore Newburyport Blue // Pottery Barn Teen Jamie Daybed (white twill) // Quince Bamboo Quilt (white) // Ballard Designs Emma Scalloped Sham (cornflower Euro) // Custom pillow in Pierre Frey Toile de Nantes (Etsy) // DIY nightstand // Safavieh Color Swirls Lamp // Target RoomEssentials Bookcases
